It is an honor to serve as an assistant principal at Hazel Green High School. I am excited to be a part of the Trojan Nation and working with its supportive community.
I received my undergraduate degree in History and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in December 2003. In May 2017, I graduated from Samford University with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently working to become an Educational Specialist in Instructional Leadership at Samford University.
I have 14.5 years in education, having taught a variety of high school history courses. However, I have spent over half of my life educating students, as my first teaching experience was in teaching dance. Since I was in high school, I have taught a variety of dance classes in local studios, and also went on to coach national championship high school dance teams.
My husband Tyler and I have been married for nine years, and the heart of our family is our 6 year old daughter Mollie. We have a fur baby named Baxter, a miniature poodle mix, who Mollie likes to refer to as her “brother.”
I am excited to be at Hazel Green High School this year and look forward to working with all of the students and teachers. As the new assistant principal of curriculum and instruction, I am eager to work with the teachers and students to help make a positive impact on student achievement.
I believe that all students can be successful and am excited to help students to become College and Career Ready upon their graduation from Hazel Green High. I am proud to be part of the Trojan Family, and look forward to participating in the student achievement and student success at Hazel Green High School.
